Data center network cabling in Toronto

Copper and fiber installation, patch panel termination, port mapping and the unglamorous work of making a cabinet's cabling legible again.

Cabling is where infrastructure debt accumulates fastest. Every rushed change leaves a cable that nobody labelled, and eventually no one is willing to trace anything. The work here is partly installation and partly archaeology: putting new runs in properly, and making sense of what is already there.

Serving Toronto and the GTA, with Ontario coverage available based on location and scheduling.

Leave your details and we will get back to you to go through what you need.

A sentence is plenty — we will go through the detail with you.

We use your details only to respond. Nothing is scheduled and nothing is billed until we have confirmed scope and price with you.

New runs, done to a convention

Copper and fiber runs installed, terminated and labelled to whatever naming convention you already use. If you do not have one, we will suggest something simple and apply it consistently, which is worth more than any particular scheme.

Remediation of cabling that grew organically

Retracing, relabelling and re-dressing an existing cabinet is a legitimate piece of work in its own right. It is best done during a planned window, and it pays back the first time someone has to find a specific port under pressure.

Port mapping you can actually use

The output is not just tidy cabling but a record: which device is on which port, on which panel, over which run. Delivered in a form you can put straight into your documentation.

Cross-connects coordinated with the facility

Runs between cabinets and to carriers are ordered through the data center rather than installed by us. We coordinate with them, verify the delivered circuit at the physical layer, and patch it through on your side.

Cabling work we perform

  • Cat6 and Cat6a copper runs and patching
  • Single-mode and multi-mode fiber runs
  • Patch panel termination and port mapping
  • SFP, SFP+ and QSFP optic installation and verification
  • Labelling to your naming convention
  • Cable dressing, routing and legacy cleanup
  • Cross-connect coordination and physical-layer verification

What is permitted at any given site depends on the rules of that facility and the access you hold there.

FAQ

Network Cabling Toronto: common questions

Can you install a cross-connect between cabinets?

Cross-connects and inter-cabinet runs are ordered through the facility, which owns that infrastructure. We coordinate the order with them, verify the delivered circuit at the physical layer, and patch it through on your equipment.

Do you supply cables and optics?

Usually you supply them, shipped ahead or held on site as spares. Tell us what is needed when you request the work and we will confirm whether we can source it or whether it needs to come from you.

Can you clean up cabling in a live cabinet?

Yes, though it is best scheduled into a maintenance window. We work cable by cable, verifying each connection before and after it is moved, so nothing goes dark unannounced. Where a cable cannot be traced with certainty, we leave it and flag it rather than guessing.
