What it costs
Remote Hands is billed by the hour, because you buy time at a facility. Network setup is quoted per project, because you buy a finished building network. Both are below, and every price excludes HST.
Remote Hands pricing
Billed by the hour
Two rates and no retainer. Pay for the hours you use, or book a discounted monthly block if the work is regular. This is for work at a data center your equipment is already in.
Standard rate
$90/hr
Excluding HST
Applies to all standard work during Mon–Fri 9:00am–5:00pm ET, whatever the task. Scheduled with 24 hours notice.
Request ServiceOff-peak & emergency
Evenings, overnight, weekends and statutory holidays, and any active incident with less than 2 hours notice
$180–250/hr
Where a job falls in that band depends on the hour and how much notice you can give. We confirm the exact rate with you before anything is scheduled.
All prices in CAD and exclude HST, which is added on the invoice for services delivered in Ontario.

Get a quoteNetwork setup
Quoted per project, not by the hour
A building network is priced from what the building needs. We look at it, then give you a fixed written quote — no hourly meter, and nothing ordered until you accept it.
What drives the cost
- How much cable, and where it has to go
- Cable runs are most of the labour. A modern open-plan office is quick; a heritage church with plaster walls and three separate buildings is not.
- Number of drops and access points
- How many desk positions, cameras, access points and door controllers need a wired connection back to the cabinet.
- Equipment
- Switches, access points, firewall, patch panels and cabinet, sized for the building. Quoted at cost with the model named, so you can look it up.
- Access and timing
- Whether we can work normal hours or need to fit around services, events or a live office.
What the quote contains
- A fixed price for labour, split by stage
- Equipment listed by make and model, at cost
- What the network will do when it is finished
- A schedule that fits around how the building is used
- What is explicitly not included
The site walk and the quote cost nothing. Prices exclude HST.
